Back on the Move website
When the decision was made to expand into purpose-built premises, we were engaged well before a line of code was written
We have supported Back on the Move since its inception as the Kingdom of Bahrain's first licensed alternative medicine centre, and this is our third website for the practice.
When the decision was made to expand into purpose-built premises in the Pavilion Building in Seef, we were engaged well before a line of code was written. Our involvement extended into the physical fit-out: consulting on wall structures, presentation graphics, wall panels, and signage, so that the space and the digital presence took shape together. This early, cross-disciplinary engagement is how we prefer to work - understanding the full context before addressing any single part of it.
Before any development began, we researched and wrote the entire site. That meant getting under the skin of the four branded services now operating under one roof: Back on the Move (core healthcare), Rē (rehabilitation and training), Back to Back (therapeutic massage), and BeRehab, a rehabilitation entity previously at a separate location, now integrated into the new premises. Understanding each service, its audience, and its relationship to the others was the necessary foundation. The content architecture and every page's structure were determined first; the build followed from that.
The site architecture reflects the thinking that preceded it. A scrolling homepage gives immediate visual access to all four centres, with any service reachable in a single click. The PHP platform uses a Laravel back-end CMS - a deliberate step forward from the previous Drupal build, lighter to maintain and better suited to the content model we had designed.
Each service page follows a format developed during the research phase: the principles of the therapy, its benefits, links to complementary treatments for cross-referral, and a concertina FAQ that condenses cleanly on mobile. Within core healthcare alone, individual pages cover osteopathy, physiotherapy, chiropractic, and a range of other modalities. The same consistent structure holds across rehabilitation and massage services, making the site coherent for patients navigating across disciplines.
The insights section, for which we established the editorial framework and produced the initial content, is central to the site's long-term search performance. Publishing authoritative health content consistently is one of the most effective investments a healthcare provider can make for organic visibility, and each new article compounds that effect over time. A franchise page linked from the footer adds a further commercial dimension.
The project is a clear illustration of our approach: the research, writing, and strategic architecture are not preparation for the work - they are the work.
